Thanks! The textures were created by a sort of oil-pastel-resist technique : by coloring the paper with a layer of oil pastel, then paint ink on top and when that's dry scrape into the ink to reveal the colour underneath into which the ink may have partially soaked.

That sounds like a real in depth process. I have been curious about colored in since seeing :iconcgb30: 's work. I might just have to play around and try something using this technique. Will have to ask someone at the art store to point out good incs, but I never need an excuse to go there. :)

Those colors are just fabulous! And eyes are so lively. Just love how do you add so much things(like that owl) and other details in your works. I have to look so long them and every time I notice something new and fun! Fav! : )
